The Books

Here's a shortlist of some of Eoin Colfer's books, suited to kids and teenagers from 10 to 14 years. (The complete list is here)

• Artemis Fowl series: This series has eight novels, with the first two books also in graphic novel form. Follow kid genius and criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl as he tries to steal fairy gold from LEPrecon Captain Holly Short. Filled with magic, guns and friendships, this series is perhaps Eoin Colfer's most well known.
• Airman: Follow Connor as he tries to escape the prison he has been wrongfully thrown into and clear his name so he can be re-united with his loved ones. This book is fast paced and gripping, filled with genius and, of course, flying.
• The Supernaturalist: When Cosmo tries to escape from a terrifying futuristic orphanage he is plunged into an unexpected adventure. This story is jam packed with technology and sci-fi. It's been called the kid version of The Matrix.
• WARP: The latest of Eoin Colfer's books, this one follows a young boy Riley as he is sent time travelling out of Victorian England. He, along with his FBI agent and friend Chevie Savano, must try to stop disaster falling on the world when an assassin follows Riley back from the past.
• The Wish List: Meg Finn is in a lot of trouble. When her soul is being fought over by angels and demons alike, she needs to right her many wrongs quickly. The only way to do that lies in the Wish List.
